Verano Rock 2024: Crank It Up Before San Juan!

Before Manilva gets its bonfires blazing and feet sandy for the San Juan celebrations, it’s time to warm up those rock-loving ears with a proper night of music mayhem. Verano Rock is back on Sunday, 2nd June, and it’s turning Plaza Vicente Espinel in Sabinillas into a haven for classic rock fans—starting at 9 pm sharp. And guess what? Entry is absolutely free. That's right, not a penny for a full night of face-melting tunes!

First up, we’ve got The Rob Sas Band, a seasoned classic rock outfit straight outta Marbella. These gents have been cranking out guitar-driven bangers since 2012. Helmed by the ever-charismatic Rob Sas, they’re known for their high-energy sets that resurrect the very best of rock’s golden years.

Rob himself is something of a rock renaissance man. He also fronts Deeper Purple, a Deep Purple tribute act that’s heavy on the Hammond organ and hair. And when he’s not shredding stages, he’s behind the mic on The Rob Sas Rock Show, his weekly radio spot for Central Radio FM Spain and ARfm in the UK. Busy bloke, that Rob.

Then, hold onto your hats (and possibly your eyebrows), because headlining the night is the mighty TNT AC/DC Tribute Band. These Spanish rockers don’t just play AC/DC—they become them. Expect thunderous riffs, pounding drums, and vocals so gritty you might need a Strepsil afterwards.

Channeling the spirit of Angus and co., TNT have built a reputation for their explosive performances across Spain, and if you close your eyes (but don’t, because you’ll want to see this), you’d swear you were at Donington circa 1980.

So, whether you're a die-hard rocker or just fancy a night of good vibes and loud guitars, Verano Rock is the place to be. Classic rock, cold drinks, and cool sea air—what more could you want?

Grab your mates, head to Sabinillas, and get ready to rock out under the stars. Just don’t forget your air guitar.
