Duke Sabinillas Review: The Smash Burger Worth Travelling For

Duke has earned a solid reputation for comfort food done with flair. The menu ranges from handmade empanadas to gourmet hot‑dogs, yet it was the Americana Smash Burger that stole the show for me.

Visually, the burger was immaculate: two caramelised smash patties topped with a generous blanket of melted cheese and a crown of crispy fried onions. The lightly toasted bun stayed firm right to the final bite – no drips, no disintegration, simply burger bliss. On the side, a mound of piping‑hot patatas arrived perfectly golden and satisfyingly crunchy.

Flavour‑wise, Duke delivers in spades. The beef is juicy and well‑seasoned, the cheese luxuriously gooey, and the onions add just the right hit of sweetness and crunch. It’s a burger that commands your full attention from start to finish.

Equally impressive was the service: the team were welcoming, attentive and clearly passionate about their craft. Small touches – a genuine smile, a quick check‑in at the right moment – made the experience feel personal rather than routine.

All told, Duke hits the mark on every front: structure, taste and those addictive fries, wrapped in friendly, professional service. I’d gladly make a detour for another Americana Smash Burger, and I suggest you do the same. Wholeheartedly recommended.
